Increased Cooking Reward

Tired of getting little to no XP for cooking a huge meal for your ever growing settlement? Do you have too many mouths to feed and not enough plates? Well, make them eat off the floor because you’re the only one who deserves to eat at a table…. Mama Murphy is welcome though.

I put this together due to a lot of people asking me to increase the amounts that the player earns from cooking a large meal or converting some dirty pond water into some nice purified water. This mod is really made for people who like to play on Survival mod, because lets face it, getting the amount of XP you’re usually earning is not worth it for that high of a difficulty. You at least need some decent reward for cooking some food at a campfire.

NOTE:

I increased the base XP so even the simplest of recipes will net you some decent XP, and I also increased the maximum you can get from a single recipe, this means if a recipe calls for a lot of harder to find ingredients then you will have a higher threshold to earn. You’ll be receiving almost the same XP as you would for crafting a piece of armor at the bench or crafting a weapon mod. As of right now i’m not too sure of the math behind what actually gives each recipe the amount of XP it earns, but if someone ends up figuring it our feel free to contact me and i’ll add it to the thread.

I will be adding workshop XP increase and Quest increase when I get to them. Quest is a bit more difficult.

UPDATE #1:

MINE DISARM ADDED. SEE “FILES” TAB.

THRESHOLD:

Minimum XP Earned: 15XP
Maximum XP Earned: 75XP (Could Be A Little Higher)

INSTALLATION

1. Download the .esp either manually from the “FILES” tab or allow NMM to install it for you

2. Place the .esp in the Fallout 4 Data folder located inside “SteamApps/Common/Fallout 4”

3. Make sure mod functionality is enabled or the mod will not work, locate your Fallout4Prefs.ini file which should be located under “Documents/My Games/Fallout 4”

4. Open the .ini and find the section [Launcher], under [Launcher] add the line bEnableFileSelection=1 or change the 0 to a 1 if that line exist already

5. Right click Fallout4Prefs.ini, select properties, and un-tick the box that says “Read-Only”. You can now save the file, if you do not do this step it will not let you save since it is “Read-Only”.

ENJOY!
