Quick edit I made to the grey knit cap so that it would match the rest of my black gear. I also removed some of the brown dirt/mud marks on the cap as well.
Drop the folder in Fallout 4 > data > textures > clothes
If you don’t have a textures folder or a clothes folder, create them.
Make sure you’ve changed the sResourceDataDirsFinal line in the Fallout4.ini (Documents > My Games > Fallout 4) to sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\,
