About the map size of Fallout 4, Bethesda has stated that it is roughly the same as the map of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, without the mountains taking up real estate. In the footage, Fallout 4 map looks a lot smaller, and the user is not zooming in and out to show it’s scale and the space its actually covering. According to report coming out from a Reddit user who have played Fallout 4, the scope of the map is impressive, it consists of Boston, Cambridge, West Cambridge, Deep in to Southend, Logan Airport and East Boston. In short, all aspects of the city is covered.
Furthermore, the scope of Fallout 4 map spans even further West and North into the suburbs and the massive area beyond the Boston City it self. Many people are of the opinion that the map size is small but the scale is hard to pinpoint looking on the Pip-Boy, it’s HUGE.
